Review by kj kopf, 01-13-06 one of the greatest jazz and improvisational music venues

the bimhuis has moved from the old oude de schans location to its new muziekgebouw location on the ij. the layout of the place is for the players. . . about 250 seats . . . all good acoustically. . .good local players and a regular international line up that includes cecil taylor, hank jones, the bad plus, joe lovano, sam rivers, steven bernstein, dave holland. . . and more and more and more. if you like jazz, this is a must do!
