Chimay Bier

Well worth finding, BTW. I have been there a couple of times
and it was very "gezellig". It also seemed to have
a lot of Dutch psople, which I like.
I learned an important lesson, though! That Trappist brewed
Chimay beer is no Rolling Rock! While it tastes like nectar from
the heavens, it is more like drinking wine than beer. Five of
those put me WAYYYY over my limit. Getting home that night took
a very long time... :-)

Yup, I agree about Chimay beer. I tried some Chimay Blue in amsterdam last spring for the first time. While alchohol is far from my drug of choice, hands down it was the best tasting beer I have ever tried. Had 2 bottles with dinner, and man, it really got me snookered. I attempted to purchase a couple of bottles for the holidays here in the US, and was told my state forbids it because the alchohol content is too high.It is brewed in limited quantities by some Belgium monks. Thus, a religious organization trafficing in drugs, albeit legal drugs.Too bad the monks don't set up a grow room in the catacombs........Their gods must be pleased.:-) Dogbreath
