Gollem and Cafe Luxembourg, T'Ij (Windnill Brewery)

So, you're all for USD imperialism? Does that mean you'll cancel Independence Day when you escaped from, er, British imperialism?

And are you going to give the Statue of Liberty back to France?
Well, if that's the case, I am all for it!
They would benefit from joining the EU. The EU would not. This is an American strategy to weaken the EU and achieve global domination.

No to the Vilnius 5.
The hookers looked nice when the Jackass crew were passing thru on the Gumball 3000. Chris Pontius was highly impressed and said it was one of the lasting memories from the trip!

But seriously, one would say Poland is viewed as a country which is still emerging from the dark days of commie rule and would benefit greatly from joining the EU. An unknown quantity for now, one might say!
You are quite astonishingly ignorant and parochial.

USD=US. Typo. Get over it.

WTF is "USD"? If the US were into "Imperialism" we would not be getting backstabbed by france and germany right now. Know anything about the Marshall plan? france is the country to watch out for, they really think that it is their place to rule the EU even the UN. Watch out or youex will be usingeaux all of those extraeaux friggeauxing lettereauxss in yer words and talking through yer nose (which will no doubt be either in the air or up someone's arse)! And yes, they are most welcome to have their stupid statue back, they can place it right nest to the erector set in paris.
Sorry, was a bit wound up as I'd been working for 18 hours.

Well, I say working...

Understandable! Some of the crap posted here would get Ghandi wound up!!!
What's black, red and blue and floats face down in the Vistula?

An American tourist.
I am a jurnalist gathering information about the stereotypes about Poland and its citizens. I would like to receive some information from people all over the world how they view this country and what associations they usually have when they hear the world POLAND, POLE, or POLISH. I am looking also for people who visited Poland and would like to tell about their experiences. Did you like this country and the people? If yes, explain me for what? Is it true what your firends usually tell about Poland or maybe it turned out that it is completely different? I would be grateful for any e-mail.
My e-mail is discoverthetruth@interia.pl
*I meant to reply to you of course, rather than start my own thread.*

I'm going in July if that's any use. I am going to Krakow for 2 days and then off to visit family in Pszczyna for 5 days.

I've been told that a lot of the women are stunning.
how many pole's does it take to screw in a light bulb?

Six, one to hold the light bulb and five to turn the chair.
No to the Vilnius 5.

Unless you're beautiful, female (by origin) and are prepared to work in Amsterdam's RLD!
........you forgot to include having a ghastly oniony garlick breath as well!!!
Yeah, that'd be right, being English and everything...
Take a chill pill mate! I meant if Europe was to be dominated by the French we would all smell of garlick and onions (a joke!). I'm well aware of where you come from as I read your posts, which until now, I found interesting!!

The dialogue has drifted a bit it seems. I myself would like to see one of the proudest and oldest cities of Europe. Krakow. Stiff the Russki's and give back half our country you took to this day. Russia blows, but you wouldn't be coming to america if that weren't true? Da>
Does anyone know where these three bars are? I love to know how to get to them. Thanks
Just was at the Gollem - they have the hard-to-find Westvleteren Trappist beer. It's just north of Spui, about 2 blocks, on an alley b/w Spuistraat & Singel called Raamstaag. Puny little place, but gezellig.
IJ Proeflokaal (windmill brewery), 7 Funenkade, tel 020 622 8325. It is near the Eastern Dock where the Singel Gracht nearly meets the waterfront. Take bus no. 22 from Central Station or Prins Hendrik Kade to Zeeburgerstraat. If lost, head for the windmill. I walked from the Dam, but a long walk. Don't forget to also go to Wildeman, 5 Kolksteeg (Nieuwe Zijdskolk). Prost!
Thanks for the great quick info...you guys rock. Peace.
If you go to the Bier Koning near the Dam next to Magna Plaza you can pick up the Amsterdam Beer guide. It has a map to all the nice pubs and breweries in the city.
