master blaster Herbal Vapouriser

have any of you people tried a master blaster Herbal Vapouriser im thinking of buying one but would like to here comments from other users
cheers..........
i have never tried that particular brand vaporizer but a word of warning, unless you are using fresh cured weed its not worth it, brick weed is too dry, to make brick weed vaporize you really have to moisten your weed before you vaporize it, in my humble opinion its not worth it for mexican weed.
I tend to smoke skunk which generally is quite moist, but i also have a soft spot for hash too, would it be ok for hash???
it works with hash, maybe not so good with old stale rock hard hash, you also need a grinder or some other way of making the hash as powder like as possible. you might check out www.potcooker.com
I think vaporizers actually work better with old dry hash, just because it's a lot easier to make into powder. Any finely serated knife will do the trick. Fresh hash tends to clump up on the heat source requiring it to remain on longer. Unfortunetly I haven't tried a professional vaporizer, but I get by quite well with a pickel jar and a stainless steel pan.

bros.
is it normal for a vapouriser to plug in at a wall socket? here is a link of the one im thinking of buying http://www.whspliff.net/GOODSvap.html
yes most vaporizers plug into the wall, they need some kinda of heat source to heat the "gear" to the proper temp. i have heard of some using boiling water and even one that uses a lightbulb. they do work but be advised, everybody i know still smokes more joints then they do vapor hits. it produces a "different high" some of my friends swear they do not get off at all, some of my friends have literally hit the floor, most people are somewhere inbetween. good luck
cheerz bud...
I bought one without trying them 1st, unfortunately I fall into the category of those it doesn't work on :-(

moe.
thanks for the posts but does any1 else have any comments on vaporizers
based on their own experiences??
yeah: they tend to turn low-end middies into dank just because it extracts all the active chemicals and none of the plant material and puts it into a vapor that is equivilant to taking 10 normal smoking hits off the same bud.

I think that the people who didn't have success with it are just using a poor quality vaporizor, it has to heat up to the boiling point of THC to actually release it as a vapor. If it isn't 392 degrees F then it isn't going to vaporize, and if it's a little more than 392 then it's going to burn/vaporize other chemicals and/or destroy psychoactive chemicals in much the same way a flame does when you apply it to a bowl. When you smoke, the flame instantly destroys a decent percentage of the THC it comes in contact with, but enough of it is vaporized and carried in the smoke to get you high.

My friend has a vaporizer with a heat gun that goes up to 1000 degrees. It's a really nice vaporizer, and the head gun it so clutch it's not even funny. The problem is that the gun only goes up and down in incriments of 10 degrees. So he sets it to 390, which to me seems inefficient. I took mad rips off of that thing, and he even dumped some keif into it. I didn't get any noticably higher and I think it has to do with the lack of his ability to raise the temperature in that gun by 2 degrees to get a perfect boiling point for THC. Of course, then again I'm not a chemist or anything, I'm just taking knowledge from high school chemistry and Erowid's vaults.
The only way to vaporize is with a hot air gun. The volcano does work too, and fills up a bag of vapor. The hot air gun needs to be adjustable in temp, preferably around 290-310. Hotter than that, causes the material to give off toxic gases (i.e. smoke). Works great. Try visiting eagle bill in the cannabis museum for demos. IT also helps if you stop smoking a few days prior, evidently smoke causes the lungs to get clogged, and prevents the vapor from working as well. So if you are a tobacco smoker, you might not feel it as much. Once you use the hot air gun, theres no reason to go back to smoking as your main method. Unfortunately, not all places have vaporizers, or its inconvenient to carry around, so I do smoke sometimes.
