CanalWatch apartements
Has anyone ever had experience with renting a short term apartement through this service (www.canalwatch.com). They have great looking apartements in good locations, but I'd look to hear about their reliability and quality of service.
Thanks,
Mac What's up Mac,
Everytime I think about that "award winning" apt. on Bloemgracht & Prinsengracht I pull a Homer Simpson and lose a couple liters of drool.
Here's some comments I found on this sites review section. In case you havn't, check out this link to thier guest book, it offers more diverse points of view.

no deposit-no return
reservations with canalwatch require a $350 usd deposit, which by contract would be refunded 30 days after reservation. it has been seven months since my reservation and they still have my deposit. canalwatch has not responded to my phone calls and have not responded to my emails since december. the driver that was supposed to meet me at the airport was 30 minutes late and had the wrong name on his card. they also only had only one set of keys to give us and had to scramble and find the other set for themselves. the apartment was fine, but their business management absolutly stinks!! canalwatch is best to avoid and you can find better alternatives than this rip off outfit. Hmm.
Well too late to take such advice. We shall see if I have a better experience next week. It seems its too late also for me - my friend went ahead and made the reservation for Queen'sday weekend on their Houseboat (which does look good in the pictures and reviews.
Lets hope for the best.
