Postal codes?

What about driving? All the times i drove into France from Belguim i only seen border guards just standing at the booths just watching the cars go by.Never seen any cars stopped.Actually thats the only country in Europe i,ve traveled where i saw anyone at the borders.None in NL,Belguim,Germany.

If i should get stopped what do they ask anyway.Am i going to get hassled if they get it out of me that i,m just there mongerring?

After all i have plans of moving to Amsterdam and i do like a change of place sometimes, also i have a few regulars i party with in Paris.I also understand paid activities between consenting adults are not illegal in France unless it took place on the streets.
I am spending 3 days in Amsterdam then taking a train to Paris.
Does anyone have any ideas or have any experience in sending stuff to the Marriott in Paris?
I was thinking about sending a few joints by mail so I wouldnt have to travel by train with it and have to deal with dogs or police

thanks
Been on the Thallys to Paris many times. Just put it in you luggage, I have never seen anyone check. Should not be a problem.
since the madrid bombings, the french are checking everything. We got checked leaving and returning to france.
well I been there several times and been checked a few times and with the current situations I wouldnt risk it. especially night trains
we were driving. Take the risk if you want, but I think you are foolish to do so.
At Orley, we got caught in January '04 with some hash and weed and got a 150 Euro fine, and no police involved, just customs. The doggy was nice. :-)
peace,
jeanbean
My brother drove from paris to the dam and back, didnt get stopped,no dogs or anything....but like EVERYONE else says.....dont risk it. I dont even smoke when im in the states now....too exspensive where i live...i save all that money and then i go to adam and proceed to "attempt" to smoke all the hash in town

I have done enough research on this subject to make my own decisions on this question. My question though is this....Say I get through on the train to Paris....(will only have 1/4 or 1/2 on me if at all)..I'll be in Paris for two days then fly home with a stopover in London. What are the chances of having dogs search a flight from London? and this will be on a major, major holiday here in the states with most people being off...(not a major travel day).
If you are considering mailing them, why not just show the French customs officers one of your joints?
I advocate taking a few joints with you on the train. I've seen some stuff. You'll probably kick yourself in the ass real hard if you don't. If you're not a total dumbshit about it I predict a happy holiday. Amsterdam in paris is real nice. Get supergrooved and check out the catacombs.
thanks much dirty floyd!! ain't like anyone is trying to bring over pounds of the stuff...just enough to enjoy the city. everything else will be mailed before hand....as much as i want to try to bring stuff home to the us...not worth the risk...
I'm quite surprised nobodys suggested the Anal solution to your problem - not for everyone but where theres a will theres a way..

...Boner...
Jesus... it isn't like you're trying to smuggle in 20 pounds of hash or anything. Just take it with you sensibly.
Place you wares into a pocket of dirty trousers in your luggage.
If you get pulled tell them where you have been and you must have been so stoned you forgot it was there. I do this and have not been caught yet. They will only stop you if you look dodgy. Well it works in the UK anyway.
When traveling Europe, I always start in Amsterdam. Cheap car rentals, and a great place to stock up, and to rest. I have trained and driven to Paris from A-dam. Always with a two week supply. Never had a problem anywhere. And with my gift of gab, I think I could talk my way out of about anything. And I always bring some home to the states. Lets see, at least 12 times now, maybe a few more. I keep reading these horror stories, but have never seen it, and don't know anyone personally that has had problems. I have come back thru JFK, Dulles, Phily, Dallas, and Denver customs. They stamp my passport and waive me thru.

The only time I ever saw dogs was on a cruise to the Mexican Carribean. They smelled all of our suit cases, but did not find anything.

I have read, that most dogs have been re-trained to seek out explosives. Why on earth would someone hassel you with a little weed or hash. Not gonna happen. The economics don't fit anymore.

Just be smart about it.

Hey, Just a warning to everyone...The first time I went from Amsterdam to Paris on the Thalys train was in December right after 9/11, I took 5 grams of bud with me but had no idea what to expect, turns out no problems or hastles at all that time, but the last time we went to France in Sept 2003, right before our last stop in Paris the French police boarded the train with dogs and were going up and down the aisles a good hour before our final stop, I'm not sure what they were looking for or if they were explosive sniffing dogs or what but I was so relieved I was'nt carrying anything ... if you do carry wrap it up good so no smell will get out and dress nice and you should'nt have any problem.
Good Luck...

Dont talk about it on this board!!! you are being watched.......
I've take thalys amsterdam to paris twice round trip. Both September '02. First time I put my prize in an empty box of smokes. I put it under a train car a couple seats away. Men with dogs and weapons came thru the car checking passports. They stopped at the seat next to mine and started harassing an Arab. After about 20 minutes he disappeared with him not to be scene again. They continued to check passports but skipped me. Arrive in (excuse me if i slaughter this, im too lazy to look) Gard Du Nord I expected dogs, or something walking around. Nada.

Second time I just brought it back in my pocket. No dogs, men, weapons and so on.

I don't encourage tho.
Just my experience.
I once rolled a big doob of Silver Pearl mixed with Temple Ball and put it in my shirt pocket on a bus to France. French Pigs boarded the bus and I panicked and ate it. France was pretty fun the next day. Don't smuggle more than you can quickly swallow, thats my opinion. A big hunk of Ice Hash will last a while.

When I went back and forth from Aachen to Maastricht it was like NO border at all. Germans driving over at will to buy thier weed. Why not go through Germany? France is the least weed friendly spot in Western Europe. If anyone is gonna search you, its them. But even they are WAY more reasonible about weed than us Yanks.

I ALWAYS smuggle hash out in my tummy: I eat silly amounts of space cake right before leaving. Fucks me up so bad I'm either still high the next day or ready to take a little break anyway.
I read of one method for the train where you put some in a can of soda and leave it next to your bag, that way if they are in fact searching on the train you can deny that it is yours, then you take it w/ you. I would personally take a small amount on the train. What is a small amount? something like 2-3 grams.

Perhaps they are looking for real smugglers, but I suspect that their focus is on explosives as was mentioned.

For the USA, I still strongly advocate against smuggling even a small amount. I do think that the customs agents are in fact interested in busting the little guy, even though it makes no economic sense.

Maybe when the catastrophe we have as a President is voted out, then things might change.

Peace,
Philter
Why would you expect things to change with a change in administrations? Administration after administration, and no difference! No safer to possess with Clinton. Eh? I've been waiting for this change for MANY years.
Yeah. Don't hold your breath!
Perhaps he will decide to legalize it! Have optimism mate!
How hard can it be to score hash in Paris? Its easier than shit to find in Spain.......Why not just buy nsome there? I'd rather risk the Gendarmes than the Border Po.
We have read that it is not so easy. Like every other supressed city, one has to spend time going, meeting, discussing, etc... Why would you want to do that when you can bring easily from Holland? Then there is the Quality issue. Tonight on Link TV, there was an ent
Wrap it in a couple layers of plastic wrap and put it in your shampoo or conditioner. I did that last time and never even felt nervous about it. I've just put it in my luggage before also, but that was pre the Madrid bombing.
Can anyone tell me the meaning of the codes in addresses, for example the last 2 places i stayed in A,dam one has 1017 ZV, the other just 1011.I have plans of moving there and thats just one thing i,m totally lost on!

The reason i think it,s a post code is like mine is 96815, 968 is Honolulu, 15 is Waikiki area. But i see the numbers and letters change even both are in Amsterdam, actually within walking distance of each other.
This page has some useful information on these codes:

No, That wouldn't be clever at all. Not worth risking the potential hassle in my opinion.

Have fun in Paris though, and be sure and try one of the ultra primo baguette sandwiches sold at bakerys and stalls, all over the city.
