Along with thousands of others I, and 2 friends, were in Amsterdam last Saturday night (5 June). Were we the only ones who were absolutely appalled at the mayhem that was being carried out by drunken, disorderly Brits? Almost exclusively it was the British (although not all - we managed to behave despite having a fair few 'refreshments'), who were shouting, swearing, banging on windows, falling over and throwing up.
Much though I love Amsterdam, and I've been many times, I'll not be back on a Saturday night if last week is the norm.
Don't remember an unusual amount of drunken Brits.
I do remember a shitload of ROI supporters over for the game, mind you. The funniest one being a guy dancing round Dam Square wearing a ROI football top and nothing else.
Tis sad but true. The advent of cheap flights a la easy jet has enabled googles of drunken Brits to spread their good cheer on the streets of Amsterdam for all to experience. Word hasn't gotten around though that the bars don't close at 11 PM so drinking your face off beforehand is not compulsory.
There seems to be some kind of rule that there be no less than ten in a group and that all must behave in a rude disorderly manner. Fashion seems a little uniform too, jeans and shirt (untucked) are a must, not to mention that crue cut.
One of them (by himself, poor thing) even stopped us to ask where his mates and hotel might be.

This sounds like a typical saturday night in most if not all English towns and citys - oh isn't it wonderful to be associated with this behaviour :(
...Boner...(Still proud to be English though..)
And if it wasn't for the hordes of drunken Football/Stag Weekends/Hen Weekends/ clients from the UK. The amsterdam economy would drop very suddenly. They spend a hell of a lot of money when they are there.
You have to realise that if drink and drugs are available aas freely as they are and in so many places. You are going to attract these sorts of arses.
This is no excuse for rude behavior IMHO
I thought Stags had moved to Prague and Tallin
