Visited prize winning growshop the Hemphouse.

If you see an ashtray then it's OK.
Any good one's in the dam that you can have a J whilst having a meal other than Barney's and other coffee shops you can purchase food at.

Many Thanks
Don?t be fucking ridiculous you jerk. The coffeeshops are for smoking blow uses them. If you light up in a restaurant you'll be kicked out and rightly so.
You will, in all probability, end up with a broken jaw.

Guest,
I really don't understand people like you. I'm sorry you are such an angry person; perhaps if you stopped smoking blow in coffeeshops you might lighten up.

Gaz,
I too, have been searching for puffin friendly restaurants. My suggestions follow:

Paradox - coffeeshop with organic-ish food, (I haven't been back in a few years, which may suggest something)

Supperclub - I've read previous posts indicating it is allowed, perhaps even encouraged

Nomads - I believe it is owned by the supperclub people; I would assume it is ok, but I would certainly ask before toking...I guarantee you won't be the first to inquire

Grasshopper - since the coffeeshop is a joke, think of it as a TGIFridays where you can smoke

ToDine - located at the arena hotel, Excellent food! I've toked there when sitting outside on the terrace tables, (don't know if you could smoke inside though...)

"place on damrak" - there is a restaurant about half way down damrak between CS and dam square that looks like the dutch equivalent of Hooters, (the name escapes me); I seem to remember seeing people smoking joints on the terrace

...hope these help, I'd like to hear about any others...
Mister Co-co's has an area where you can smoke and I'd recommend the mixed grill very tasty :)

...Boner...

The place on Damrak is called Teasers. www.teaserscafe.com
Barney's has open the Brasserie Restaurent a short distance from it's coffeeshop and of course you can smoke there also. http://www.barneys.biz/

There is also The Tara Irish Pub, which serves food to 9pm, on the Rokin that allows you to light up your choice. http://www.thetara.com/

And on the Leidseplein, you can get something to eat while watching one of many TV's being shown at the Satellite Sports Cafe while enjoying a joint, but only inside, not at the outdoor tables. http://www.satellitesportscafe.nl/SSC.htm

There are hundreds of bars and nightclubs in Amsterdam that allow and approve of anyone smoking marijuana and hash!

And once again, I call for not letting any guests to post.

This IS Amsterdam, if you are smoking herb and it's against the busineses rules, they will just ask you to put it out. No Problem!

It was a perfectly reasonable question!

Why the anger??

:-)
And once again, I call you a guest-hating double-standard bigot, who doesn't seem to object when a acts like an asshole, only a guest. Start your own site, make your own rules, get not hits. But you're not in charge here.
Do you think that you are in charge here then guest?
Last I knew, Bas was in charge here. He has decided, apparently, to allow guests. He wants the forums to be alive enough to get get enough hits that he can make some money (my own observation, not speaking for Bas). The repeated demands by registered members that guests like you and me be banned are really tiresome and offensive, especially in light of the forum "vandalism" routinely inflicted by members.
sorry to butt in. personally i don't object at all to "guests" posting. i do object when somebody begins an answer to a perfectly innocent question with the salutation
"Don?t be fucking ridiculous you jerk."

ukbl asked "why the anger." i don't think it's anger at all, it's just somebody getting joy from the powerkick of hit-and-run malice. sure, some registered members do get mean spirited too, but it's more often when they're provoked. i rarely see that kind of gratuitous malevolence unprovoked from people with known "identities". that *doesn't* mean they're better people, and i don't think anybody ever claimed they were. it's just a social thing -- they know socially they'll be held at least vaguely responsible for what they say.

while i get the impression there's a "lot" of guests posting malice, that's not necessarily true at all. it may be one or two people, but it just looks like a lot because most such posts appear under "guest." therefore we get the idea that guests are malicious. of course guests are not malicious. it's just that there are a lot of posts by someone also called guest, who wants a lot of attention without the accountability.

my guess is that the same person, in the flesh, standing in line at the bank, hearing the same question about faraway amsterdam, would probably *not* respond with "don't be fucking ridiculous you jerk." in that situation he's still technically anonymous, but the joy of malicious blurting would be tempered by the very real risk either of social disapproval or of getting his head smashed in.

so i say don't hold it against "guests." hold it against the *person* who continually engages in this digital tourettism and calls himself a guest.

Many thanks for all the helpfull responses bar the anonymous GUEST, very much appreciated
Growshop the hemphouse has won several quality cups over the last few years, with one single strain, Santa maria.
they have won prizes in both the bud and the Icehash division.
Time to check them out, and to see if I could buy some of that prize winning material. I bought the Ice hash, awaiting the bud....

here's the report:

OHD, there is a new menu online as well.
Wow...that looks like a nice place to do a little research. You better watch out if you keep showing me places like that I might have to replace "wortels" on my car license plate with "hemphse." Not sure if I could get away with that though...hehe.

I'm really looking forward to our parties in April and the pilgrimage(s) we'll make to Haarlem so that we can get our asses kicked at pool (well maybe just me who hasn't played since I was in the Navy), and sampling all the fine wares you've been hunting down.
Damn Nol, that is out of hand. Nice work. See you and the crew in April pal.

milehigh
Sweet Nol thanx. Haarlem is 15 days away.

What's Apeldoorn Like? I see that there is a big park right there.

So many choices.
chuck
calls itself the biggest village in Holland. It is a relaxed city, with 6 coffeeshops and a huge monkey zoo nearby.

You will easily loose an entire day there.
