Best Time To Go?

OK all I'm researching the Honeymoon! We are going to fly into Paris. Stay about 20 hours, then fly on to Amsterdam for 6 days... So my question is: when is the cheapest time of the year to go, because of course we are planning the date around that!!!
Thanks All,
Paige
Generally airfares and hotels are less expensive October through March, The off season, no tulips, a little damper weather, but cheaper airfare and lodging.

Enjoy

What FBN said, except Christmas and New Years.
And have you thought of taking the train from Paris to Amsterdam? It's only about 4 1/2 hours.
I have been going in early Dec for the past 5 years. not too cold,no tourists & good hotel rates. If you go after 25 Nov but before Christmas you can take a day trip via train to Germany for a Christmas Market. 3 hours to Koln.
The train from Paris to Amsterdam is a nice way to travel & avoid the get to & from the airport thing.

Thought about it, but it's actually about $400 cheaper to include it in the airfare and just fly, besides only about an hour and a half by air. LOL
Congrats and hope you have a great honeymoon!

The best time for you to come would be in 21 days! Flowers..... coffeeshops..... and tons of channelites!
Well, that wouldn't be much of a honeymoon...spending days with other stoners and not your hubby. I'd say do a trip to Greece. That is romantic!

Peace-

Can't argue with the $400 savings, but although the flight is only 1 1/2 hours, mikee has a point with the 'get to* & from' situation. Not to mention all the hassles at the airport.

*If you're one to use public transport, getting to CDG airport is the real hassle. You end up taking the train from the Gare du Norde and then hopping a bus for the last leg of the trip.
I suppose there's probably some sort of private shuttle available (I can't help you with that), or you could take a taxi (which of course would be wa-a-a-a-y out of my budget).

Good luck and congratulations too!
