Zeeland, any smoker friendly campsites near the sea?

I guess it depends on where you are. I accidentally went down a small street and found Nes Cafe, nice bar, good smoke and the dealers were super friendly. One told me about the upcoming changes, and said they were still trying to decide what to do. Usually if I drink and smoke I get too stupid.

My personal feeling is that many of the places like Rookies and De Kuil will become smoker friendly bars, not all that much of a change.

The Rookies (Korte Leidse Dwarstraat) is more like a bar that sells weed, very roomy, a bit loud and smokey but "Cheersesque" and my very first coffeeshop, lol

ye i like rookies
run by scouse lads isnt it
good point!
What will CS/bars do then? Surely a place like De Kuil will give up it's weed - it MUST make more from beer than weed?
Just wondering.
I wold go with De Kuil
De kuil is good I agree !

The doors on the single for the view !

If your looking for top bud and beer under the same roof then I would have to agree that De Kuil has them both. Super Silver Haze was a great smoke from there last time I went.
T'Nes no arguements!
Oh yes!

I also enjoy De Dampkring, Hill St. Blues & The Greenhouse.
Hill Street Blues on Warmoesstraat has a great canal view out back. Greenhouse has a top-notch staff, and good house lager. De Kuil has a great vibe. I didn't make it to the others.

Enjoy it; the word in the shops was that next year, they won't serve alcohol. In that case, GHE might be your best bet, as the bar is right next door to the coffeeshop.
de Kuil.

For the 'classic rock'.

yeah man, what a bummer, De Kuil has such a nice bar too, nothing like one of those clean bongs and a cold amstel light.
No more beer after March 31 2007, so it's official then.? I'll have to adjust my coffeeshop map by then. This is going to make loads of changes to many coffeeshops and bars for sure.

Thank heavens my usual annual trip to Amsterdam is always in February, looks like I'll just catch it before the big change.

It's a fine balancing act. I find I can't smoke without having a beer as well as it rounds off the rough edges. The key is moderation for both.
Nes has the best alcohol menu for a coffeeshop in my opinion.
I think theres a bigger mark up on the weed than there is beer.

I spoke to a couple of the guys at The Rookies about this last April.
The tentative plan seems to be to leave the coffeeshops in place and open bars nearby to which they would be directed by the associated coffeeshop.
I think (not sure) that the reason is that thay wouldn't be able to transfer their coffeeshop licences to another location. Don't quote me, though. My memory is kinda 'hazy' LOL.
I think theres a bigger mark up on the weed than there is beer.

even assuming weed has the bigger markup, it would probably come down to sales volume. Think about it, the average coffeeshop patron who will also be drinking is more likely to buy 1 bag of grass and multiple beers than vice versa in my opinion.

I agree - I spend ten times more on beer than weed, but then again I'm not a heavy smoker anymore. I think it would be a BIG mistake for De Kuil, Nes and Rookies to give up their alcohol licences - those places are bars first and foremost, I think. I expect the mark-up is somewhat similiar - around 100%. But I think jerkypete is correct - if you give up the weed license, you never get it back. I still think there'll be enough of an outcry over this for the authorities to back down or compromise, once businesses start to demonstrate loss of profits etc.
In feb. I asked the tender at De Kuil which they would be, bar or c-shop. He said coffeeshop.
I believe more than 90% of the coffeeshops/bars in Amsterdam will give up the beer. It's fairly easy to find a bar to buy or even open a new bar in Amsterdam.

But you can not open a new coffeeshop and very few of the current coffeeshops change ownership. And most of the coffeeshops that have been bought out in the last 5 years in Amsterdam have been bought by existing coffeeshops opening another branch.

There's a lot of profit to be made in weed/hash sales. So much volume. And there's no way for the tax man to track sales since the coffeeshops get no reciets for the weed/hash while the liquor deliveries are invoiced.

There will still be many regular bars/nightclubs in Amsterdam that will allow you to smoke weed/hash. But that too could change in a few years if the EU forces the Netherlands to ban all smoking from bars.
The Nes and Dampkring have the best beers and smoke combo, IMHO. As far as the separating the liquour and smoke sales, I think that the more successful places like De Rokerij and De Dampkring will do something similar to what Barney's has done--they will keep current locale and open a nearby cs or bar separately and bar will allow smoking but cs will not allow booze.
as much as I love the best of both worlds at nes cafe, I would rather have their top notch smoke
De Dampkring
Nes Cafe and Kashmir Lounge.
Dread Rock... I might get shit for saying it but it's fun....bar on level1 herb selection on level 2 and 2 pool tables on level3.....Not a coffeeshop but "MR.COCO's" will always be one of my favorite places to chill and they did'nt mind me lighting up..
Congrats on quitting, you've done the right thing. I usually buy a pipe when I arrive, but lots of shops have clean ones available for use. Definitely try the vaporizers too. You can buy premade or get premade paper cones ready to insert your product into. That way you can customize your joint.
good for you. When you buy prerolled joints, be sure you ask for pot only and no tobacco.
I am going over to Amsterdam soon but i have stopped smoking cigarettes and tobacco . Can grass be rolled on its own and can i put hash in too or is a pipe my best option or should i eat hash cakes ? I don't want to start smoking tobacco again . Can i buy pure grass joints ready made ?
Well Done wish I could!

Yes you can.

Pipes are good they come in all shapes and sizes. Try Vaporizers also.
Eat Cakes also!!
cheers

Yes at most coffeeshops. For more info try the coffeshop sectiion of the forum.
Yes to all. Also, Conscious Dreams and maybe other smartshops sell an herb, whose name I forget, which is a tobacco substitute and allegedly easier on the lungs. Relatively cheap, too, if you need something to cut your herb with.
Thanks that sounds good just what i need . I don't want to get addicted to the tobacco again .
the pre rolled 'reefers' are what yoou want, they are about 5euros, the pre rolled 'joints' have tobacco in them. well done on quitting the stuff. enjoy!
fair play on giving up! hope you didnt have to go through using a patch.
You will really enjoy the ready mades they sell, really.
They just hit me sideways,as soon as i get to dam thats the first thing i go for.straight on me ass.hmmmm roll on november.
I used one of those nicorette inhalers gonna try herbal stuff to mix my grass and hash with when i get to Amsterdam .
Mokum is very used to the Yank habit of asking for "pure", no tobacco, joints. . . .you will have no problems . . although when you mix good herb and hash in a bong or vapo hit, some Germans may look at you with amazement.
Want to goto zeeland with the family, I know I can get supplies in Vlissingen, but want to smoke when tent up and sprog sleeping, so want a friendly/tolerant site which I can take a family to.

Anyone out there had any experience in that department?
The Flying Pig on the Beach is smoker friendly, although the rooms are non smoking. Its more of a hostel, so if tenting is what your after this may not be the best place.
Thanks for your help. Not been to Zeeland area before, looks interesting on the net so I'll see how it goes...
Cheers!
