Revitalizing Dry Weed

Not that this happens in Amsterdam that often, but did you ever get some dry weed or find some weed you forgot about that is all dry? Well, it seems that the drier the weed, the less it works in the vaporizer (I may just be stoned though it seems that way).

So is it a good idea to somehow add moisture to this weed or not?

I had always done the small-bit-of-orange-peel-in-a-baggie with the weed thing. Does anyone else have ideas about how to keep their weed moist enough?
IMO, moisture is bad. Unless you like mold. I always dry out or properly cure my buds, I like them to be bone dry.
I know all vaporizers are different, and i find that mine (VaporCannon)handles both moist and dry well. You may notice a harder but less intense hit with moist weed because you're taking in all the moisture with the hit. Frankly I like it dry, stronger hit - more THC, less water vapor.

But like I said, all vaporizers handle differently. What sort do you have, Birdman?

Don't know any tricks besides the orange peel, but if your weed is already moist (and sticky, hopefully),you could keep your stash in the freezer and take out what you need when you need it. That should help maintain moisture without promoting mold or other bacteria.
Putting it in a bag with a slice of white bread and leave it overnight. Brings back just the right amount of moist back in when too dry. Potato peels work fine too but leave a smell and a taste...

Wonder what would happen if you put dry weed in a bag with, let's say a banana, would you have banana flavoured weed the next day...?

Peace,
Frank

PS Gonna try it out right now, see how it smokes tomorrow...
Orange peel is too wet, the bread trick is better
I've done it with orange peel or a small hunk of apple and it worked fine, usually just overnight does the trick.
You just have to keep an eye on it and not leave it too long or else you WILL get mold.
Smoke faster...
lettuce is the best for least flavour(flavor) transfer. about 3 hours.
A piece of apple Would serve best. It does not contain the aromatic oils of the citrus fruit and none of the yeast which could also cause mold, in the bread.

Alternatively and longer term Cannabis and tobacco are similar in the sence that they like to be kept somewhat humid but not to the pint of molding. Pros tend to keep the stach in a humidor which come with discs created to produce just enough moisture without drying out the leaf.

They make a single cigar tube which has the disc in the removable screwcap and is perfect for your stash while walking arround amsterdam.. It keeps the flowers from turning into a sawdust like mash.

I like this last idea much better than the apple one. Source of moisture is separate from the dry material at all times. Excellent solution! I will remember this.

Someone needs a microbiology lesson

Well kind sir the lesson would be too much let me correct myself I Should have said Yeast OR mold....
Both Mold and yeast are two groups of plants in the fungus family. Both groups can cause allergic reactions. Fungal spores can circulate in the air and may cause allergic rhinitis when inhaled.

So that being said, you sir can put white bread with your stash, but dont be suprised if mold appears eventually. If you are from the international breadmakers association and I have hurt your sales with my comment I apologize... Please know it's all in fun
......
what do you mean?
say when you ger nice fluffy crystally buds that need grinding
i much prefer leaving the bag open say on a window sill
so i can then take the buds and crumble them into a rizla with my fingers
creating a fine dust, and an even spread mix
none of the yeast which could also cause mold, in the bread.

Genious! White bread gets moldy eventually. Genious!
