Bringing back Bon Bons to the UK

er, MHDs word,
if he said tht they dont want tourists then there are plenty of others to try out and give business to.

So because of one persons opinion (who is obviously affiliated with a coffeeshop) you'll dismiss said coffeeshop?
Which coffeshops away from the Centrum are worth getting on a bike and going to find?

I've heard good things about the Kashmir Lounge and Katsu. I'm also planning a day/afternoon in Haarlem (on the train, not by bike) and visiting the Willie Wortels Indica and Sativa shops.

thanks
Kashmir Lounge is worth getting there. It's not really that far.
If you like Rokerij, you'll like this one too. Same kind of decor and lightning, but more with a 'local' feeling.
I think the place deserves a visit even if you don't buy any gear. They sell alcoholic beverages.
Give it a try and be careful with the narrow steps down to the toilet.
haarlem full stop

the WW indica is a nice place, the WW sativa can be very busy being close to the trainstation and all. WW sensi is supposed to be nice

i also called into high times which my group all enjoyed, and many of the other coffeeshops in haarlem (except maximillian) are supposed to be nice too.

in AMS, check out Katsu and other ones down in the south,

if u wana play pool check out Spirit over in the jordaan. Also a nice area to explore.

Is that from personal experiance or just because of what MHD said?

yeah, its a risk im whilling to take. MHD might be linked to the WW's, but he hasnt said anything bad, or for atleast what i can remember, about any other CS in haarlem with the exception of maximillian.
You can't go wrong with either choice. Katsu has great weed and good deals on Morrocan Ice hash and their water hash is the bomb.

Kashmir lounge is a great atmosphere. The jelly ice at 18/g was a good deal last time I was there as was the red leb hash.

Others to consider:Paradox and Le Tertulia.

Enjoy,
Santa Marta
Yo santa marta,

have you had bushdocotors jelly or grey area's jelly? I have had these and they cost 30 e per gram and 25 e per gram respectively. I think they are well worth it but if kashmir lounges jelly is the same strength then of course i'd rather pay 18 e per gram. do you know how they compare?
Try De Graal, on Albert Cuypstraat
When you enter the market from VanWoustraat, go past all the awnings and vendors, and a few blocks up on the right, there it is. A really neat shop, and last time I visited, it had an all organic weed menu, and tasty I might add.
Of course, Boner had a good suggestion on another thread... Het Ballonetje, which is always friendly and nice. (Across from Amsterdam University)
And Hey, you may want to try Rusland Coffeeshop, as it is well worth it, and not far away.
Wished I could venture with ya, could use a hit now :-)

All The Best,
LH
Hey Koop,

I haven't tried Grey Area's ice yet, but have gotten ices and jelly from Bushdoctor quite a bit. Last September was the first and only time I tried the jelly from Kashmir Lounge. I can only say that it was on par with some of the stuff I got from BD but not as good as the best I got from BD--the quality seems to vary from batch to batch depending on the genetics, the technique, etc.
For example, the first time I bought ice at BD it was kali mist and was a really light colored blonde and it was a memorable product--some of the best I've smoked over the years. However, the next time I bought the kali mist ice there (expecting and hoping it would be just like the last time); it was a dark tan and not so memorable (once again my hopes were shattered--woe is me!). The jelly there also varies quite a bit.
All in all, I was quite pleased with the KL jelly, especially at the price--it was one of the best values of the last trip.

Take Care,
Santa Marta
I always enjoy the Rokerij, Tweede Kamer and Bas Joe. Nothing extraordinary, but consistently great places to spend some time.
Best
PotHead
I like Het Ballonetjes, too, over near the zoo and botanical gardens. It's quiet and laid back -- usually a college crowd from the near-by university campus. And I've found great values on hashes there.
In the zommer, or on a very nice day it is sooo nice to sit outside of La Tertulia watching the boat and feits traffic while smoking some fine hawaiian haze and sipping a pistachio milkshake!

Peace
So if someone said something bad about your favourite coffeeshop you wouldn't go back?

Sorry apart from obvious tourist traps I much prefer to find out for myself if a coffeeshop is good or bad - it is after all about opinion is it not?

I'm going over in 10 days....I'm not sure I know what is meant by "tourist trap". Which shops would (anyone) just stay away from? Why? Thanks!
Surely others will vouch that these shops sucks in terms of weed quality. Some can be nice to hang in though, depending on the location

Bulldog
Grasshopper
La Canna
Bulldog was the biggest tourist trap going. They had the worst gear on my trip. I liked Pink Floyd, Grey Area, Barneys, Doors (good vibe), Amnesia, Anyday (kind of small), softland for the internet! I went to a place called te Market outside of Jordaan. Your best bet is to explore and form your own opinions, but Bulldog can be crossed off the list.
thanks for all the help everyone.

I know any plans I make now will go straight out the window when I light my first spliff but I don't want to come home and find I've missed any potential highlights.

We're going for 4 nights in a couple of weeks time and here's a few things I'd like to try....

~ Afternoon in Haarlem; WW Sativa and Indica, High Times

~ Stix to try their Temple Ball

~ Katsu and Tweede Kamer - Crystal Clear or Kushage Waterworks. Also like to try the Kali Mist and Rifman Jala Hash at Tweede.

~ Grey Area (probably be a grab and go as its always so busy) MMG, SSH and Grey Berry.

I will also keep my eye out for any Cheese or Mako Haze, and find somewhere that sells nice Red Leb and Carmello cream.
How risky is it to bring back a few of these? I am going this week and would like to bring a few 'memories' home with me.
Thanks.
i'd think that instead of deleting posts which the moderators found to be offensive, they should delete threads like this one which ask about taking drugs from one country where they are legal to another which they are not a thread like this is not good for anyone and if the author is stupid enough to ask such a question then they are stupid enough to be caught and better them then me
