hey, I don't like to be in crowded coffeeshops, have to share a table, or have to engage in conversation because I'm usually unable to talk much after a few smokes. To paraphrase George Thorougood - "I like to smoke alone." I just prefer to chill, relax, and listen to music, and let my mind wander...Pick up some stuff at Amnesia, smoke some there, and wander outside towards the Jordaan and lose yourself in the canals and buildings. Hopefully, you will have a portable music player of some kind, and lose yourself in the moment.

By the way, maybe start out with milder stuff, but eventually move on to the great connoisseur stuff. Hey, if you're making the trip to A'dam, you might as well try the best. Also, if you have no problem with mild stuff, you will be able to handle the strong stuff as long as you don't go crazy and smoke too much at once or go on a coffeeshop crawl.
you realy get the idea thanks for the tip, ans thanks for the info too and i had some smoke fro Betty Too that was realy good.
I'lll be there in oct.

Hiya Brasil,

IMO You're not a Geek.

La Tertulia on Prinsengracht is a non threatening chilled out place, you'll want to check out. Take it slow, get high in your room for the first couple of times then try La Tertulia you should have a good experience.
try Vondel Park maybe?
The first time I was in Amsterdam I went to Kadinsky with a friend who had never smoked in a coffeeshop before (I'd visited places in Maastricht). My friend made a bolt for the hotel as soon as we left! It IS a weird experience until you get used to it. But as someone else said, there are places like La Tertulia where you'll be able to have a more relaxed time.

As for strains, I picked up some Laughing Buddha from Amnesia recently and it was absolutley lovely. A gentle sativa high that was free from paranoia - I found I could smoke loads of it and enjoy wandering around with a great big smile on my face. I definately recommend this strain!

Enjoy...
You guys are awesome.
I read before about the lady that own La Tertullia and everibody seems to have a good feeling about the place.
Thanks again and keep coming, because it's helping me to plan my trip.
Fui.

I was wondering about Betty Too also, it's right around the corner from my hotel. This will be my first trip too in October and I'm looking forward to the coffee shops and some nice mellow stones in my hotel I'm staying at the hotel Jolly Carlton, I was told they are weed friendly.

Have fun...I know I will.

Old Fart
I'm trying get a snoke friendly hotel too.
Greenhouse maybe, not sure yet. any advice???????????????????
that will be the hotel, thanks, and any of those milkshakes are gooooood? last time a had a muffin and it eas ok but I did forget about the shakes??????? any tips?
Try the Hotel Abba for smoker friendly. It is very near to the museums and some great c/s. I have my room booked there for this year, and by the ratings it seems to be clean, cheap, free breakfast and very smoker friendly.
Stayed the last two years at Abba. They are remodeling and it did need it. Time for a change tho next year we thought tho. As far as smoker friendly... ..I sat on the balcony off the breakfast bar and watched part of the evening of Queen's with 3 queens' and they roll the best spliffs with Hasj! Oh the queens also were working at the time in the hotel. lol. They had some great drag shit going. I came home with a HUGE tiara that ended up in a orange page boy wig on one of em. Chigusa stayed there and hated it. First year we stayed Otis and Old hippy dave had brekkie with us every morn.

no, nothing wrong with that, alot of people in amsterdam coffeshops are tourists now, and not the good kind, but the, oh, i go to university, im gona presume im better than you, twats. its unbelievable hoe many people go to amsterdam to use it as a trophy or as a noch on their bed.

who wants to sit and chill with the type of person who would take a portable hotel room to glastonberry
I live in London and Know exactly what you are talking about, everybody is either a graduate or make lots of money or his d**k is bigger than anyone else bla bla bla.
THAT I AVOID WITH A SIMPLE NO ENGLISH, SORRY, and laugh my ass off listend the comments in english that i dont speak.
Maybe could use that.
HIHIHIHIHIHIHI.........................
I have never seen such hostility in a forum full of smokers....
We're not all smokers here.

And not all of us are hostile

:-)
This forum isn't exclusively for smokers. Anyway smoking doesn't bestow holistic calmness on people, it's not some sort of universal panacea.
Why are you stalking me?

I suggest you get a job. Or a hobby that doesn't involve followig people around.
Again, why are you stalking me?

And what makes you assume I am white?

Ignore the nasty little troll. He'll only be in the guest zone.

If this thread sounds disjointed, it is because the rude person thought better of his nasty posts and deleted them.
Not brave enough to tell us who you are? What a surprise...
Sory, but did I said something wrong here?
I was justing try to get some advice, and thanks for those who helped me.
