The last time I was in Amsterdam the Nes cafe was still selling bud. During that trip they had the best gear in town, Sage & Sour and the next week they had killer Super Silver Haze. Now that the Nes is just a bar are there any other shops who use there suppliers? If so that will be my first stop during my next trip in mid May.

Cheers

Enough of the racism, oh sorry, I forgot, this is Channels, where racism is perfectly acceptable, particularly if your name is a. bollocks, boneymaroni and BOhannon.
One example of racism on my part please cityliver.

No? I didn't think so. STFU then
As a moderator BO, and a pretty ineffective one at that, you allowed various racist comments to slip so far under the radar its untrue. So as far as I'm concerned BO, you're a racist. Live with it, accept it and like it, OK.
The first thing I would have had to do is to somehow determine what is racist in the tiny thing that is your mind cityliver. I was only one of 5 moderators BTW, how do you have any idea how 'effective I was"? I felt that my primary duty was to remove the spambot posts and that is mostly what I did. The drivel and nasty posts were left...all of them...to work themselves out in the forums.

Be careful tossing around that racial tag, you know nothing about me. As to your request: I do accept the fact that you think that way, that's a "no brainer". Now be a good little troll and crawl back under your bridge, Oh, by the way, I think that your new sobriquet is quite apt, a despicible life form if ever there was one, lol.
check out queens day http://www.eyelogue.com/donniecam.html
Home for a short rest this afternoon. Although the weather man predicted rain, he was wrong and it has been a cool but dry day. Because of the potential bad weather many people from the countryside stayed in their own village's and Amsterdam does not seem near as crowded this year.

Me? Well I got up at 6AM and loaded a big buckfiets(threewheeled bike with big box on front from 1939) with all the junk from our basement including 4 bicycles and headed for the Apollolaan to set up and sell. When we arrived, it was already almost packed and it took a little while to find a place to set up. Within a couple of hours most of my stuff was gone including all 4 bikes. It was a lot of fun, and great for my Dutch language training. I think we will eat and head for the Blueberry boat soon.
I couldn't find the damn boat. Sorry I missed it.

Where do you think you went wrong Anne?

I thought it was on Keizersgracht but apparently it was on the Nieuwe Keizersgracht. I was on the wrong side of the Amstel!
Thanks for taking the time to share MHD. Looks like fun on the Donniecam.

say hi to your friends from chuck and jenny and scott.

cheers.
Have a good one!!!
The weather looks dodgy this year
Headed out the door.

Donniecam has fewer house music.

;-P
The rain held off the rest of the day and the sun even poked out a few times during the late afternoon. We had a nice get together on the blueberry boat with blueberry, mike, mike, koopa, birdman, Mr and Mrs Dannymac, Yogibear, Mr and Mrs Ictricity, Winnie with friend, and the boat owner who stopped by with a bag of hot bitterballen. Mike Mike and BB layed out some nice food and drink, and I supplied some milehiceolator freshly made from NYCD trim. A few hash cookies were consumed and when we left mid evening, everyone appeared to be good and high. It was a fine day and another great night.

I had a good Queen's Day. Wandered around my 'hood in the morning and ran into MHD. Then in the afternoon I met up with my friend and we drank our way into the Jordaan. Later I wanted to go to BlueBerry's boat but I couldn't find it, alas.
Shame on you Anne! We found it and had a great time, after watching the boat parade from atop TAK's boat.

What a great time we had. The wife bought a pile of stuff just outside our hotel, and more on the walk to TAK's. Never thought it possible, but we still had room for more when we completed our packing, moments ago.

On our way to Schiphol now. Glad to have met all you new friends; Was great to re-unite with old friends; and damn 'Dam, thanx for lettin' us in on the great party yesterday.

See you all on the other side of the pond.
I didn't know the number. People were swearing at me because I was with a bike, ha ha.
I told you the number. You just didn't hear the "Nieuw" Keizersgracht.

I found the Cheese from both Katsu & Homegrown Fantasys to be real nice, Katsu do a lovely Lavender as well.
this man speaks the truth as I currently know it. i've had the cheese from Mellow Yellow, Katsu, and Grey Area in the past few days and would rank them in that same order. Mellow Yellow's batch was much buddier than all the others. Lasthamlet had a wonderful bag from that shop.

I've also had the Blue Cheese from Bluebird which is not nearly as good as last year but still good smoke. Got that flavor you love and a nice high. Like smokin it in the morning.
im back in amsterdam on the 6th of may and i was wondering were is best for cheese at the moment or lavender.............cheers!
Homegrown Fantasy has it on the menu at the moment and it is a great smoke, it stinks, but then it would being called cheese...
Mellow Yellow had the best Cheese this trip, Katsu's version was a very very close second.
cheers people...........looks like im in for a fun day on wednesday........better not get tooooooo wasted or ile miss me boat home...lol
Is Cheese essentially the main weed you are looking for when you step onto the moving steps at Schipol?

I am int. in trying someting new this trip.

some of my favorites in the city now:

Pink Kush: Amnesia
Amnesia Haze: Amnesia
Lemon Skunk: Grey Area
Grey Diesel: Grey Area
Chocolope: Grey Area
Lemon Haze: Bluebird
Blue Cheese: Barneys
Cheese: Mellow Yellow
Pot of Gold: Mellow Yellow

I have to say that the Pink Kush is the one not to miss at the moment....
Thanks Koopa, I look forward to it very soon.
Personally, I find the best cheese in Wisconsin
I agree about Amnesia's Pink Kush, it's the only Kush that i have seen in A'dam that comes close to the ones in North America. Any others i have seen have been sweet/fruity smelling, which lead me to believe none of them were really kush.

Amnesia's Pink Kush still has a long way to go to compare with OG, Bubba, Purple Kush etc, but the flavor is very close.

I liked most of what Koopa mentioned, but also Katsu for both Lavendar and Black Widow, both were well cured and very tasty.
I got cheese from dampkring! 11 euros per gram but it was good stuff like.
The green palace had some real good cheese over queensday,
I here its the uk cheese b4 big budda crossed it back (not sure if thats ture, but it was a dam good smoke)

There seems to be alot of it going around at the mo,
the name is a big thing and coffee shops are cashing in big time.
I got some so-gouda from bluebird & it was awsome! just as good as the cheese i recon.
Stones corner............ cheese good

bluebrid...................cheese superb

homegrown................cheese good and the skuff was great in my hot chocolate

greenpalace..............bubblegum shit

prix dami................ i always finish off in this place if im on a day visit

orange bud was a good smoke and quite cheep i managed to get a couple of 5g bags to bring home..........
I missed out on prix dami last time! you cant go to them all i suppose.
Aaaaah acid, some lovely memories of the wacky trips I had on blotters. (strawberries, purple gnomes, daffy ducks and I remember one xmas we got our hands on santa clauses. very festive) R.I.P Albert Hoffman.
I had some once, they were called 'Hoffmans'.

He would have been proud!
Ahh yes, virtually every weekend in my first two years of college. Thanks Dr. Al!

Zoot and other FZ was definitely there for me as well, but one memorable night had "Before and After Science" (Brian Eno) as a partial soundtrack. Cliche perhaps, but Dark Side of The Moon was a blast-off ritual.

The "father" of LSD died Tuesday, April 29, 2008.

Wow, listening to "Zoot Allures" in 1976 after taking some microdot was an awesome experience. Thanks for the memories!

PotHead
The best acid I ever did was some Art Linkletter blotter. His mug was printed on every little hit. LMAO
RIP Albert, I had plenty of good times on your discovery.

Eno is brilliant. I too have had lots of great times on LSD listening to his music. And Zappa, and The Beatles (coming down), and Roxy Music, and Talking Heads, and Echo and The Bunnymen, and John Cale, and Hawkwind, and Grateful Dead, and moe., and String Cheese Incident, well the list goes on and on.... I saw Devo one New Years Eve tripping my balls off. X and Dove, the band of Love (which was really Devo) opened. We were really blown away to learn that Devo opened for themselves.

moe.
Uncle Albert was 102!! New study: does tripping extend your age? Apparently so.

Red dragon blotter: August 1980, the Grateful Dead, Uptown Theater, Chicago.

A legendary show for more than one reason.

Didnt't i once read that Zappa claimed never to have taken acid ? Hard to believe .
Zappa was totally anti drugs. He kicked Lowell George (Little Feat) out of the band for writing "Willin."

A Red Dragon was my first...... I remember it well, I had no idea what acid was when I was given it.... so I went in completely unaware..... loved every minute.

Ive never believed that personally. Frank was ' cute ' with his empire.
I remember enjoying Hot Rats on Superman blotter once or twice.

I remember enjoying Hot Rats on Superman blotter once or twice.

I have a copy of a concert that Little Feat performed in Oct. 1975 where Lowell tells the audience about being kicked out of Frank's band for writing Willin' just before they performed the song. I also have a DVD of Baby Snakes and in one scene Frank is telling fans that are toking outside his limo that they shouldn't do that because it is really bad for them. I think one of them offered him a toke. That is what I based my statement on.

I tripped for my first Dead show too. Oakland Auditorium Arena, August 5, 1979, Oakland, CA. What a night!

Rock and roll . Dont yer just love it ?!
I too, tried LSD (strawberries, smiley face, ying-yang, etc, etc,) The most strongest and most insane was a tab with a UFO symbol on it. This was a mad 12 hour trip of pure bliss and intense mind expanding euphoria but a further 12 hours comedown of hell. Me and my friends gave it up after that last strong one.
Also had a momentous experience with acid and DEVO. Dropped while waiting for the show to start (Freedom of Choice tour), and you can imagine the rest. Very intense - four costume changes! The bit they did acting out the album's title song was screamingly funny.

Then there was the time everyone in the room kept their eyes closed listening to Dixie Dregs' "What If"....

BW
dropped acid a few times.. the one memorable experience i had was at a pink floyd concert back in the 80's at foxborough statiudm.. that damm pink pig flew over my head when i was tripping hard!

the best time of my life..

The New Years Eve show I spoke of was 1979/80 and they were still in their yellow radiation suits. Boogie Boy made an appearance during both the Devo set and with Dove, which should've been a tip off, but we were too fried. :^) We put it together when, during the Devo set, they dropped the lights down and Devo turned their backs on the audience and with the aid of black lights spelled out Devo on their backs . They then rearranged themselves to spell Dove. Are we not men?

I saw Pink Floyd's Wall tour in L.A. fried on some great acid too.

moe.
It was Summer 1975 at the Milwaukee County Stadium. The Pink Floyd concert had been delayed by rain. But, trippin' as we were, we stuck it out. When they came back, they played side 2 of Dark Side of the Moon. When they got to that line, "I'll See You on The Dark Side of the Moon...", the clouds finally parted and the full moon shone. People were screaming, crying pointing... Can't be topped.

On Zappa: It's true, he was against drugs and also naive about them. Somebody gave him a block of hash once and he thought it was heroin. That was in the 60's. His tonic was beer, sex and making music. He smoked cigs, his diet was horrible and he didn't sleep much. He got prostate cancer and died at 53.

But drugs were taboo and that's why he went through so many band members. If they used, they were gone. He considered band members more as his employees than collaborators.

Dr - the Red was Incred

hey moe! Do you have any kind of access to Pink Floyd Shows?
RIP Buddy!
Dr - the Red was Incred
1978 Pink Floyd at County Stadium in Milwaukee. Orange micro-dot. I can still remember every detail of that show. Wish You Were Here, Animals, and Dark Side of the Moon, all from beginning to end.
RIP AH and thanks.
My red dragon was a more cartoony dragon, looking right atcha on a white sheet. I didn't do acid for years then the red dragon came along. It was clean.
I have two things that may interest you:

1. A BBC broadcast of Pink Floyd performing DSOTM live in 1972. The only thing about it is the copy I was given has an annoying 2 second gap between songs.

2. A recording of The Wall done by Roger Waters in his home studio in 1978. He plays Guitar, Bass, a drum machine and sings.

moe.
Well I have re-scheduled my little trippy, May 22-25. Hope to see channelites in the Big Town!
