funny, i like the way....... oh look a butterfly
awesome reporting. I'm there!!
Sometime in December 08.......

10:35am: Tweede Kamer. 0.4g pre-rolled Silver Haze. E5.70. Tastes like stuffing. Very Christmassy. Nice shop. Small. Dimly lit. Mellow lightling. About 4 or 5 small tables and a few bar stools. No spare tables left. Didn't feel like sitting on a bar stool for my first smoke, so I've come out onto the Herengracht and sat on a bench to smoke it.

10:42am: Very nice high. Mellow. Not dizzy making or anything. As I've just got here I don't have a kiff or anything, so I asked the budtender in Tweede Kamer what pure prerolls he has. He was very nice and gave me a couple of choices and explained what was in them. He was very nice and chilled and warm. Warm and friendly, even when dealing with an obvious no-knowledge idiot tourist like me.

10:45am: I suddenly feel even more stoned. When I sit by the canal like this, I sometimes feel like I'm being pushed, or rather slipping into the canal like now. The light on the joing has gone outand inhaling it when it's not lit is like sucking on my Grandads fuel for his fishing boat. I feel like I've smoked 20 joints all at once. It's amazing. I've got to put my glove on. My fingers that are holding my joint are going numb. oooooooh.

10:50am: I've just seen something come up for air from the canal. I really must put my gloves on. Tweede Kamer had really nice music playing in it.

12:00pm: Float session at Koan Float.

2:10pm: Central coffeeshop. Purple Power 1.8g for E7

There is no more writing after that.
Nice...Enjoy! Great report!
Maybe they have had a warning about tobacco smoking and felt that in order to make sure peeps don't mix it up with baccy its very hard to regulate for them but still is not good for business
Is this a fucking joke?

Nope, I saw it for the first time in '08.

Peace,
Balou
Is this a fucking joke?
is that it? I thought there would be more pf a report. So far arrived ...then fours hours later the remainder of the trip is a mystery...come on wheres the rest?
Sometime in October 09.....

10:05am: I'm on the train to Amsterdam. As they're double decker trains, I always love to go upstairs. I held the door open for a man following behind me and he said thank you but with a Dutch accent. Why did he say thank you in English? Do I look English? (No - I didn't have a suitcase with me), I didn't say anything in English. Is it an English thing to open doors for people? At the other end of this carriage is a group of English blokes all drinking beer. I heard the cans hiss when they opened them and the smeel of beer is wafting up to this end of the carriage. It's a bit sickening this early in the morning. Just because people are coming to Ams (the beer drinkers were drinking beer at 5:30am this morning before they got on the plane), that dosen't mean it's ok to drink this early! Come on people show the country and city some respect? How is it possible to do that if you arrive stark raving drunk? (it is a Friday). I know that I'll be smoking later - but that's not going to make me run down the street shouting and screaming at the top of my lungs! I bet I won't even be able to run down the street!

10:45am: Baba - White Widow skunk 1g for E8.25. Just got my kiff from the Baba headshop and then went inot the Baba coffeeshop. Didn't mean to go here - but it was the nearest coffeeshop that I know to be decent. I'm perched on the corner of the bar in front of the brownies cabinet by the cubby hole that is the wonderfully named neon-lighted 'Office'. The menu is up on the wall on your left hand side. The budtender is a shaven head man that sits on a low stool so it makes him look like a little Goblin. He serves me with the pleasant and perfunctory demeanour that you would expect from an office worker. He seems like a nice man. When there are no customers he comes out of his cubby hole and stands by the bar looking out of the door. I take a sip of my peppermint tea (Twinings Teabag that cost me E1.60). Every seat is taken in this coffeeshop. There is nowhere left to sit. The music is a house - club sort.

10:58am: I'm really buzzing and I've been in Baba's for 13 minutes. In the brownies cabinet to the right of me are chocolate space muffins, vanilla space muffins, space brownies and apple pies. I've tried the Brownies from here before and they were very nice, but they didn't make me anymore stoned. But I was pretty stoned to begin with anyway. I think I've heard good things about the apple pies from here - or was that somewhere in the Jordaan? Or do loads of coffeeshops or Ams in general all have legends about their apple pies? To the left of me out of the window is a shop called ...... hang on there's a DHL van parked in the road. I like it how there are smoking mixtures (herbal - as smoking tobacco is banned in coffeeshops) in jars on the tables. I think i might go to Old Church next. Never been in there, but I've always wanted to and I've even walked past there before, but couldn't stop as I had a plane to catch. The brownies and muffins look lovely but look like they've..... Oh - the shop is called Nana - the most vibrating shop in town. I can't see whats in the shop as there are loads of people in this coffeeshop blocking the view. A lot of people are eating the brownies and muffins in here. They're all either very young or very excited.

11:25am: I leave the Baba coffeeshop.

11:52am: I've been in the Church coffeeshop for a while. I got 1.7g of Blueberry for E15, and I rolled two joints. It has a wonderfull apple crumble consistency. Crispy on the outside and soft and gooey in the middle. When its all mixed up together its got an overall soft sticky texture. Acorrding to the house rules on the table, I'm not allowed to smoke my joints that I've just rolled in here. I can smoke hasj or weed with special herbs free from the bar, or a joint (pure of course) that has been rolled by them, but not quote; 'It's not allowed to smoke weed or hasj brought by you.' (the customer). Oh, I'd guess I'd better drink my mint (Twinings again) tea and get out of here. The bells on the Church are ringing again. They have a wonderful lovely tune. It's now midday.

12:02pm: I'm still in the Church coffeeshop and I'm hungry. There's a massive candle on the table and a massive vase with loads of lilies in it on the other table. It looks really nice. I acidentally left my herb on the bar, and the really nice budtender lady brought it over to my table for me.

1:20pm: I've been shopping. I brought a bracelet. I had falafel (lovely) and now I'm in 'La Place'. I had a chicken batch which had wonderful herbs and I had a chocolate moose for desert.
