I will tell you that the Marriott near Leidseplein is NOT smoker friendly. I find it easier to smoke in a room or apartment rental than a hotel. Good luck.

edit: just got a email reply to say that they do allow it in the greenhouse effect...
Hotel Abba will let you smoke in the rooms. They just ask that you open the window a little. I usually stay with them because they are inexpensive,clean, good free breakfast to start the day,right above an Albert Hein and the tram stops right in front of the place.
Is Rookies still smoker friendly as far as their hotel? I know they were not long ago.
Yes it is IG, that's where I stayed this last trip. Very good people who run the place as well. Free WIFI in room also.

I don't think you will find a hotel that will allow you to smoke in the room. Your best bet is to get a room with a balcony, then you can do what ya want.
