FIRST-TIMER TO AMSTERDAM

You might want to stay a bit more central. I really like
tha Owl on Romer Visserstraat, The ACRO on Jan Lyukenstraat is
also nice and very near the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museum.
Both are central enough ( a couple of blocks from the Leidseplien
area), for easy access to Centrum but removed enough for a quiet
nights sleep. Both will fit the budget you mentioned. Also check
out the Hotels section of this fine site, many reviews (just
click on the little bed icon) Check out "atyourpace.com
for a lot of very interesting stuff about Amsterdam. I just got
back and am wishing I could be there to show you around!

Thanks for all the information, bOHANNON! I actually used this site to come up with the two hotels I mentioned which were a good price with breakfast included, but I figured they were a bit out of the central area. I guess we'll have to make our reservations very quickly now and give it a second thought on where we'll stay. Thanks again!
