New Years Eve

Better than dodging bullets in LA. I thought last year's
party was great. In fact, it was the best street party I have
ever witnessed. It was wild without going out of bounds. I guess
a club would be fun also, but you can party in a club any weekend
night of the year. A party on the street with hundred thousand
dancers does not happen often, say once a year. I would duck
into a club if it is raining hard, but otherwise, I like a big
room and Dam Square was the biggest dance floor I have ever seen.

I noticed that several of the locals were wearing protective
eye glasses and earplugs. I will be bringing a pair myself this
year, as well as wearing steel toed boots to travers the layer
of broken glass.
Last year was the beginning of the millenimum (according
to the corporate media) so it is difficult to know if this year's
party will be as large when the real beginning occurs. I think
it will because people had so much fun last year that they will
be naturally drawn to repeat the experience. At least, it is
that way for me.

Any suggestions for a couple of american's that want to be able to enjoy the night and not get killed by flying bottles??
