The Guimet Asian Art Museum was reopened in January 2001, after four years of renovations by the architects Henri and Bruno Gaudin. Its spacious rooms, often fitted with natural lighting, are filled with collections of Asian arts that rank among the richest in the world. They include works from India, south-east Asia, China, Korea, Japan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal and Tibet.
