    not impressed!

i found the room to be very basic (two single beds, chair in one corner, table in another, tv high above bathroom door)and very small (no room for anything else!).my bed had a wheel missing from one of the legs which made it slightly unstable. the shower was separated from the main toilet by a wall which covered 2/3 of the room thus allowing water to splash over the whole bathroom (a shower curtain would have prevented this). the most annoying thing was the total lack of waste paper bins!!

    large rooms, clean, minimalist chic

although at first it feels somewhat like a dormitory complex (and still resembles the orphanage it once was from the exterior) the rooms are very comfortable and spacious, kind of utilitarian with some funk thrown in. you have to admire the architecture and style of the place. the bath was clean, the room enormous, hardwood floors, a couch more inviting than your usual stuffy furnishings. the location was a bit out of the way, but it's easy enough to find means of transportation. a much different experience than your average city center hotel.

    for posers

i stayed there two nights and thought it was ok.the rooms were big but pointless with a split level design.far too clinical.its too far from the town and the bar/nite club are only really for tall..beautiful people....next time i would stay closer to town in a hotel that has a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities..if you want to pose and be trendy then this is the place.

    pretty cool

this place is alittle far out but it is layed out pretty cool. the bar there is great as well as the breakfast. the room i stayed in seemed like a room on an insane asylum but clean. there is an old church connected that they turned into a club that was thumping on the weekend. the only complaint is that my buddy's leather jacket was stolen from the room. if you do stay go in to the bathroom by the bar it pretty trippy. i would stay there again, but it is a little far out from the action in my opinion.

kind of far out but good deal all together

i was just there and this place was pretty cool. very different hotel by american standards. cool bar, and the club is great. the only thing that sucks is that we got stuck some extra days during the attack and the guy at the front desk said he would give us 4 more nights if we needed it and then in the morning the different guy said there is no room and you have to check out now. luckily we had friends staying there that got there rooms extended and they let us all stay in the same room. they gave us free breakfast too. oh yeah, my buddies leather jacket got stolen too. some shady things in this place but it is pretty cool and the price was good. probably won't stay there again just for the location aspect alone .

The are better places than the Arena, but it is good

I stayed at the Arena for 5 nights. The first four I was forced to stay in there Executive Suites. Theses are big with two floors, but not worth the money at all. The night I stayed in a regular double with shower was much more worth it. It is very basic, but comfortable. Plenty of hot water. The Arena is kinda far out there. The Arena is very busy and can be loud at times. If your looking for a guaranteed night sleep than this might not be the place for you, but if you want to meet people and like the excitement then it might be. All in all it is pretty good, but I found better accomodations elsewhere where you get more for your money. I wouldn't mind staying here again, but like I said there are better places much more convenient to Trams and everything else.
