a pleasant place to stay
i moved to this hotel after getting a windowless room at the quentin england. i truly enjoyed staying here. the room was quiet, clean and a good size. and i had a beautiful view to the garden out back. the stairs are steep but luckily i was only flight up. the staff is very pleasant and the breakfast abundant,

a nice place to stay
Located on a quiet street in the hotel district behind Leidseplein. We had a room on the top floor (many many steep steps); it was good-sized and airy. No problems with hot water. There are a couple of (small) rooms in the back garden that would be pleasant if you're there in warmer weather. The management is friendly (not intrusive); smoking in room is okay. And they serve a good breakfast. A tip: you can take a shuttle bus to/from Schiphol that drops you right around the corner (near the Marriot); it costs a bit more than the train, but puts you much closer to this area.
