    great location

good clean hotel , big rooms. the hotel is tucked away in a quiet side street but within a few minites walk to all the tourist attractions.we would recommend to anyone and it was cheeper than our sons backpackers hotel where he stayed...excellent value...

    great location

really great place to be in middle of rld opposite coffee shop - the room was very spacious and modern and i loved the view into the reception/atrium. rather pay extra for the space and location than be tucked away beyond the museums.

    the best!!

just came back on the 7th of april from amsterdam. stayed at the radisson. told them it was our anniversary and got a room upgrade at a discount. great bar, the bartenders started knowing us when we came in. de palmboom restaurant was awesome!!! it's a wonderful central location to get anywhere and if not, the help in the hotel is excellent to get you where you want. loved it and hope to visit again very soon.

i stayed there one night apon leaving and loved it. i wish i had stayed there the whole time. compared to the other hotel i was in for my first few days this is heaven and it was at the same price as a dumpy one.

    i loved this hotel

i was in the radisson for 18 days. the stay was great! i liked the room very much. clean and big. the maid was so nice, she used to put clean water in my bong every morning, and gave us large quantities of coffee and tea! :) i'll be coming back!!!

    nice place

stayed here in october 2000. nice room, clean bathroom, stinking minibar, tv in english and dutch. loved the breakfast buffet- they had anything you could want to eat in the morning. nice coffee shop across the street, very freindly with nice kittys(and not commercial or touristy). red light district is 2-3 blocks away. walked to most sights-museums,leidesplain,ann frank, jordan, central station- great location. but bring a compass and a map- it is easy to get lost. paid about $150 a night for double occupancy. nice lobby- good for watching people. i will stay here again if i can pay about the same.

I thought that the hotel would have been great for half the price but for 500 guilders a night I expect alot. I agree with another review that the room was way too small and would have liked more out of room service. I couldn't believe the 'minibar'. What a scam. You can't put anything in the fridge and are tempted to use their stuff but the prices are through the roof. The bottled water was 9 guilders for 20 ounces. Downstairs and across the street, at the deli you could get a spa blue 3 times the size for 5 guilders. Jelly beans were 15 guilders. On the plus side this hotel had the best location possible. It was near everything I could have possibly wanted, and I never even needed the trams. The only time I got in a taxi was my second night when I got real lost and even then the cabby had me home in 2 minutes. The Rusland coffeeshop(5stars), downstairs and across the street next to the deli, was the best surprise of my whole trip. I had a good time but would definately never stay here again, unless maybe I had a stolen credit card. Next time I spend 500 guilders a night I'm choosing a room I could at least put something in the fridge to get cold.

    not as good as expected

Went expecting something special but was fairly standard.Room was nicely decorated but not very big,No outside window, window is in indoor glass roof section would have been alright if aircon had worked well but it barely made a difference, very stuffy.Room service menu was crap nothing there for vegetarians and most things are not available 24hrs. On the plus side, breakfast buffet was very nice, good selection, and receptionist at checkout was very friendly and helpful

    really nice feel

We stayed there for 4 nights and really enjoyed ourselves. The location is ideal for everything and the staff were very helpful and friendly. It was one of the quietest hotels that I,ve stayed in. The breakfast was excellent. The whole place had a nice relaxed feel to it.

5 * Hotel Located on Ruland

The Radisson is a very nice place as should be expected with a 5*, we stayed 8 nights on our 4th trip (our honeymoon), the staff was exceptional, they bumped us up to a business class suite on the 5th floor (a room so big we could have had a rugby game in there). The only drawbacks were there was no ice machine on the 5th floor, the air conditioner had a hard time cooling off the big room, and you could not place items in the minibar. The location is excellent, 2 1/2 blocks to the Redlight, 2 blocks to the nearest tram stop on Rokin, and the Rusland Coffeeshop across the street. The place has 24 hr room service and a bar and rest on site. They did not have any problem with smoking in the room. We would def. stay there again without hesititation.
