They lied about the air conditioning
My mother and i stayed at the hotel the first week in september. They advertised air conditioning in each room, which turned out to be 4 rooms only, with one of them leaking horrendously. We had to change rooms twice and then i had to change again. Although the staff was very helpful, it didn't help that the rooms are horribly small. Been to amsterdam over 10 times and i like to try different hotels. Not every room in ams is tiny. The breakfast was unattractive with cold eggs and bacon. Very, very disappointed. Also, they forget to mention the incredibly steep set of stairs which one has to clime with a suitcase. Stay somewhere else.

Uninvited guest alert!
First time at this one, with a very small but clean room on the fourth floor. Free internet access and close to the leidseplein without all the rammy going on. A quiet hotel, too, but the stay was spoiled by the smartly-dressed middle-eastern guy entering our room when we were having a kip one afternoon. He looked as startled as we were, and said he'd come to fix the tv; we hadn't reported a fault. Another couple complained about him at the foh desk, and so did we. the breakfast was not varied enough to warrant €17 per head, on the day we went. We complained and they removed the charge. would i stay again? no, rooms to small and the uninvited guest put us right off!

efficient, but i'll take the museum
stayed at the tulip in 2000 and had a good time. the staff was good at their jobs, even though the room was a bit small for my brother and i. we were there for the cannabis cup and the hotel was at a good location. previously, we had stayed at the museum hotel, and were allowed to smoke, and did smoke with the manager of the hotel. i failed to observe anyone smoking at the tulip..........otherwise a good place.

very nice hotel
stayed here the first time i visted amsterdam. we had a room on the top floor (corner), it was great. the room was clean and the beds comfortable. the bathroom was small, but i've come to learn that this is the norm in amsterdam. the hotel bar and restaurant were both good. we had an excellent fish dinner there one night. the location is great also. i would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting amsterdam.

Tulip Inn Amsterdam - Good Place
I've stayed 3 times at the Tulip Inn. The hotel has an interesting decor that is reminscent of the 30's. It's location is very convenient. The rooms are nice and clean, and have a modern style of furnishing. The staff is helpful. On one visit I arrived with what I thought was a confirmed reservation made on the internet - it hadn't been confirmed, though, so I discovered that I didn't have a reservation after all. Even though the hotel was full the staff found a room for me, for which I was very grateful!
