ny musicians has stayed here.
the gold record on the wall behind the desk is from carol king who, along with many musicians has stayed here. the bodeys have been hosting musicians for decades. the antiques give it atmosphere and it is a five minute walk to de looiersmarkt (antique mall)

a friendly and clean hotel with a great breakfast room
have stayed at the wiechman 4 times in 4 years. other hotels are options, but this is such a comfortable, clean, and friendly enviroment. the owner's dog(s) are sweathearts. unlikely we will never stay elsewhere.

very nice, clean hotel with friendly staff
fodar's travel guide about says it all about the wiechman hotel. the location is hard to beat as one can easily walk to the dam, liedsplein, spui, muntplein or museumplein. the hotel is very clean, has friendly staff, and a very good breakfast selection. the breakfast room is the corner storefront of the hotel and one can watch the people going by, look at the beautiful architecture on prinsengracht, and also size up the weather for a day's sightseeing. the hotel is located at the entrance to the jordaan, or 'garden' district, and it is just down the canal from the anne frank house. the weichman does not have a elevator (lift), but you should be able to arrange for one of the staff to help you with your bags during midday. i stayed at the hotel for three days for 70 euros a day. i found the hotel to have a very homey atmosphere as i sat in the lobby and petted mr. boddy's dog, rupert. rupert likes for you to scratch behind his ears. there is a very nice sitting area just between the lobby and breakfast room. would i stay there again? you bet!
