fantastic way to enjoy amsterdam!
we stayed at the frederik park house for a week in may '03. we stayed in a spacious 2nd floor room, received a delicious breakfast at our door every morning, and a volume of great advice from our host about activities in and around the city. the hotel is conveniently located, but the park across the street makes it quiet, with a residential feel. when we return to amsterdam, we will definitely stay here again. a truly wonderful experience!

franz is the best!
thank you franz and martin. myself, and two friends visited amsterdam from april 22-may 1, 2001. this was our second stay in amsterdam, our first at frederik park house. we arrived a few hours early due to circumstances beyond our control. franz welcomed us with a warm and friendly greeting. we were amazed at how nice the canal house was. in previous visits we stayed at the rennaissance hotel and radisson. we were happy to be able to stay in a canal house and hope to stay at the frederik park house everytime we visit amsterdam. p.s. we cannot wait for some more wilhelmina mints from the lobby, thanks again johnny, jay and matt.

A very pleasant surprise!
We stayed at the Frederik Park Hotel between April 6th and April 10th,2001. My wife Maria and myself popped in for a long weekend. This was our second trip to Amsterdam and our first stay at the Frederik. The small hotel (four rooms) was neat and snappy. The hotel (It really is more like a B&B) has four levels, and our room was on the third floor. No, there is no elevator and yes, there are those narrow winding stairs to deal with. Having said that we were delighted with our room. It was a two room suite with a sitting room overlooking Frederiksplein park. Quiet area of the city with the major museums within a ten minute walk. Head south and you are at the Rijksmuseum. Head north and you are within ten minutes of the red light district, while the city center is just north and to the west. Very central location. Our host for this weekend was Franz. A very likable fellow who helped us out on what to see and also a good source for restaurants. He made us a delightful breakfast each and every morning consisting of boiled eggs, cold meats and cheeses, bread, chocolates, O.J., and tea (coffee if you prefer). As a host, Franz is top drawer!! In our bedroom was a set of full length doors which allows you to view a lovely outside courtyard filled with flowers and fauna. There was also a nice bathroom with terrazza foors and a wonderfully large shower with plenty of hot water and PRESSURE! All in all this hotel surprised us repeatedly. Service and cleanliness was all one could hope for. Nice location, nice people. Thank you Franz!!
