    good rail service.

we used the train from schiphol to amsterdam and back again. the trains were plentiful and on time. the double deckers were fun but there needs to be more luggage space. information at the stations is good and we found it easy to buy tickets and use the left luggage lockers. certainly an improvement on the british rail service although we did note that there was lots of cancelations due to 'maintenance work'.

great rail service in the netherlands

i was very impressed with the dutch rail system, also it's integrated transport system whch complemenmts it so well. i loved the two-tier trains, and i am very impressed with the laid-back dutch people themselves, their good nature and pleasantness belying their efficiency and hard work. the dutch themselves were critical of recent changes in rail management in holland, but to my mind i was envious that they had such an efficient and well run system, and wish it was available in wales. dewch yma o gymru am wyliau werth-chweil.mae'r iseldirwyr yn bobol o'r radd flaenaf. diolch.

Prices were good an the boards with schedules easy to understand........ and also they were posted everywhere ......... also when buying a ticket we had great service and advise from the ticket persons...... All in all we would recommend the trains to anyone holidaying in Holland

    Dutch efficiency at its best...

A prime example of Dutch efficiency. This is in refernce to train service within the Netherlands. Available in English, by inputting starting and termination cities, as well as the dates and prefered departure time, the results lists train schedules, any connections required, tells you which track at the stations and gives the cost for both one way and round trip. Almost as efficient as the Nederland train service itself. You can set your watch from when a train departs or arrives. Impressive. I wish airlines were this efficient

    Information ONLY

All this site does for you is show time tables. Go to the German rail site. I actually bought tickets there, and they mailed them to my home in USA. Even the Belgian site will let you reserve tickets if you can pick them up in Belgium.
