Average user rating  Write a new review  Review by donny  good nosh, good service! aww, come on! madame and i ended up here purely by accident. had seen the duff reviews on this site, but they did us proud. very attentive, chips and salsa - gratis - right away; you don't get that back in the uk! decent, good sized portions, and the king prawns in sea salt and garlic were succulent, and the staff were easy going with our alterations to what was on the menu. if any usa folk reckon this place is crap and non-authenic, then i suggest they head over to scotland and sort out the mexi-dens over here. good place - other than the plebs who held fags in our faces without even drawing on them - and we have no connection with the owners! could do with chiles rellenos, though............. Review by frank grimes  a definite step up from taco bell the food is pretty standard tex-mex. you know, the pile of refried beans next to the tortilla filled with some shreds of chicken and iceberg lettuce. not good, but not bad either. really just a tourist restaurant for those who get suckered by the concierge at the hotel, (like me). if you like the bulldog, you'll love this place. Review by holly & graeme good atmosphere, good food, okayish service. we went to rose's on our recent trip to amsterdam, 6th june 2002. the place looked good...very mexican with a warm feel. it was a long wait for the food and the waitresses, although clean and bouncy really did give the impression that it was only 'just a job' and we didn't feel cared for. it's true they were busy but a bit more 'the meal won't be much longer' or 'is the food okay and do you need anything else?' wouldn't have gone amiss. it's still worth a visit though because the food and atmosphere are good. the only real gripe is that we like our nachos starters with cheese, guacomole and sour cream...not just cheese! bit of a rip off pricewise without the normal extras. Review by hermi if you have ever had real mexican food, forget this place having lived in mexico for several years, this place was by far the worst attempt at mexican food i have ever experienced. the queso fundido was cheese whiz. the main entree did not resemble anything i could recognize. i concur the earlier reveiw about hygene, this place appears filthy. Review by a Visitor from Netherlands Esther.... Het eten(tapas) was koud en smakeloos,uiteindelijk kon de gehele tafel met eten en al zo weer afgeruimd worden. Serveerster Esther vroeg ons bij het afruimen of het teveel was? Wat een blindlegger. Op de bon stond 22 gasten terwijl we er met 15 waren!! Met een rekening van ruim €500 zijn we naar van Dobben gegaan en hebben daar nog heerlijk een kroketje gegeten. De bediening bij Rose's Cantina was zeer slecht, wat een kille afstandelijke tante!!!!
