The worst place I have known!!!
The worst place I have known. When I arrived, I had to wait for more than 30 minutes for the check in, because of Zeeburg doesn't have enough staff. I shocked when they kept my passport (I would like to know if that is legal, they give it back when you leave) the only identification I had, so I've been 3 days undocumented in Amsterdam, I stayed a couple of nights in the cabins. They are quite basic which is ok, but the “bed linen” is like homeless's, and you can hear even the breath of your neighbors, so, don't expect to sleep well. The toilets are so far away, you must pay to have a shower, they don’t offer a simple cup of tea as a breakfast (you have at least a basic breakfast in every cheap hostel) and we payed 8 euros for two coffees and two orange juices in the smallest glasses and cups I have seen because we hadn't another choice, as the place is completely isolated and so far from city center unless you take the tram or the very expensive night bus (walking the way from the bus stop to Zeeburg in the night could be scary) The staff is quite rude and treat you like a child. Don't go there. It doesn't worth, for 4 euros more in a low cost hotel, you have your private toilet, sheets, and a breakfats and for sure a better location. Thanks for reading. Cheers

I wouldn't recommend this place to anybodu
While we were in Amsterdam, one of my friends had a really bad attack while we were in this camp and the people in the camp were not helpful at all. We asked them to call an ambulance but they didn't. The man who claimed to be the owner of the camp told as that he'd throw us out if she screams again, and eventually we had to go out and lay our friend on the street in the middle of the night. If something happens to you during your stay in this camp, the staff and owner in this will not hesitate to throw you out.

Was there this summer for a week, excellent spot. Handy to get into town but if its raining &/or u have heavy bags/tent, the bridge to the tram stop seems like forever(maybe it was the joints;) ) Great staff, hot oriental chick!! good shop for the munch & outdoor vending machines fot the early hours. comunal Showers & toilets are clean. Bar with internet & pool, bike rental, what more could you want like

great place, shame about the staff
have spent many summer months camping here and have stayed in the cabins on shorter stays throughout the year. shop is great during the summer, lots of freshly baked yummies. staff can be a real pain in the ass i dunno why they feel the must act so superior, my soloution is to be as equally rude to them and just enjoy the many other great things bout the place

would go back, but wouldn't recommend it
okay, so we went the last week in october, but for a campsite that is open year-round, we found it pretty poor. the restaurant wasn't open as it was being refurbished (would've been nice if they'd warned us in advance!) and the shop didn't have much of a selection if you can't cook - which you can't in the cabins. on the plus side, it was very easy to get into the centre of amsterdam, and the cabin was cosy and warm. not too romantic sharing a bunk bed with my husband tho! we'd go back, as it was cheap and convenient, but there isn't much to recommend it, i'm afraid. oh, and the staff weren't very pleasant.

room for improvement, no room for tents
showers are ok, after waiting about 20 for one. costs 80 cents and thats about what its worth. a couple of good thigs are the bar with good internet access and regular priced beer, and the shop in the morning. try the fresh doughnuts for breakfast. beware, if you lie in till after 12 noon, you'll end up paying for the following night aswell if you dont stand up for yourself. you may also get a rough, pigeon english sticker on your tent telling you that the management will smash your tent up if you don't pay. we were 2 hours late as the nearest cashpoint we could find was in the town. to get to town you have to walk for about 10 minutes accross a bridge to get tram 14. then you can change from this to where you want to go. change at the third stop for tram 10 for leideseplein. we got sick of it by day three and went to amsterdam's 'the boss' campsite. the atmosphere is ok. there are many different nationalities walking around and the place is completely smoker friendly. i reckon you can get a bout a metre of space around your tent if you're lucky. you can get your mobile phone charged for free, they even accept english charger plugs. hot water is also accessable

top campsite. youth orientated very smoker freindly
visited the campsite at the end of august. it's about a 15min tram ride from dam square and tehn a short walk over the bridge. it's nice and secluded and has a cool festival atmosphere. facilities are ok, but they have a bar, and more importantly an excellent bakery so you get get fresh baguettes and pastries on a morning....... mmmmmmm. already planing a return trip.
