Pacific star hotel - best hotel i had in viet nam
As i arrived in vietnam, the pacific star hotel (32 cua nam str, hoan kiem dist) was only one of six hotels i used in three weeks. It was the most expensive but also the best hotel in viet nam (the other hotels was also good).
the staff in the hotel can speak english good and they are very nice. The hold the door open for you if you enter or leave the hotel and they try to help you if you want book a trip, train or bus.
the rooms are big with own toilet and good showers. As i checked-in someone knocked on the door and there were fruits for free. The rooms have: ac, tv with much canals (even hbo and an other english pay-tv-canal), full fridge, security safe, hairdryer, box for dirty clothes, telephone, information about rules (no guests in the room and so on) and data (how does work the telephone, when is breakfast and so on).
in the hotel you can have breakfast. It is simple but included in the room-price. My room was 25 us-dollar for one night. There were three computers with free internet and they make photo copies for you (pass, visa and so on).
of course, there are better locations for a hotel (in the old town, for an example), but it is just a few minutes away from the train main station and to go to the hoan kiem lake you need not long for a walk. A supermarket and restaurants are close to the hotel. There was a little bit street-noise but not much. I had no problems with sleeping.
the room was clean and every day they cleaned it good.
