Nice small hotel with great staffs
We (me and my daughters) stayed 6 nights at hanoi capital hotel. Booked online via the website- fast response, everything sorted out very quickly. The location of the hotel is perfect. Very central to everything. Room prices were very reasonable and the hotel, if you can call it that offered a friendly homely atmosphere! they were so thoughtful and helpful. First and foremost, the staffs were always so friendly and accommodating (loved how they had a photo of us to ensure they could remember us). all in all, it was a great place to stay. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend michael's house to anyone! ps: be aware with taxi drive, they will invariably take you somewhere else first and tell you that this hotel is full- they must get backhanders from the other hotels!

A cam tourist trap
Only when you take a walk to a few blocks later that yoiu find out that this place had the purpose to suck the money out of innocent tourists who have no idea that they only intended to scam you with their nice tourists package. It is bad for business and nor representative of other hotels in the area.

“a fantastic find with a personal touch”
I stayed at hanoi capital hotel from jan. 2-4 and again from jan. 9-11,2008. I had a wonderful experience -- the rooms were clean and comfortable and relatively quiet. And best of all, the staff working in the hotel were polite, friendly, and very helpful. The manager, tony, was especially nice -- he went out of his way to ensure that i had a good stay and genuinely wants guests to feel like they're at home in the hotel. You might find bigger, fancier hotels in hanoi, but for a personal touch, this one can't be beat. I recommend it 100 per cent.

After an horrific experience at stars hotel we stumbled upon this marvellous hotel. Extremely helpful manager, quiet room, clean new room... All that we hoped for. It has a lift for oldies such as ourselves and the rear room was so quiet it was most restful. As it is in a sidestreet i think all the rooms are quiet. Tony the manager went out of his way to help and even provided a room for a quick shower after our return from halong bay and even arranged for us to be taken to the train station and onto our carriage. Thankyou michael. We strongly reccomend this hotel.
