Ok for what you pay
My boyfriend and i stayed at studio lyristis in sept. 2006 and we chose this place for two reasons: 1. It was located in an area where there is much going on during the evening (bars, clubs, restaurants etc. ) and therefore wouldn't have to travel far for some entertainment. 2. The room looked spacious and clean. at the day of our arrival, nobody came to great us and bring us to our room. There is no "lobby" where we could find the owner or manager, so we ended up going up and down the establishment trying to find the manager. After about 15 frustrating minutes we found the manager after going to the corner store and asking the person there where we would be able to find this person! very annoying considering we were both tired, had our luggage with us and just wanted to get our room settle in and go to the beach. the room was spacious and clean, however the bathroom was tiny and was always infested with little fruit fly type bugs and mosquitos. It had no room to put our toiletries, and whenever we'd take a shower the entire bathroom would get flooded. our garbage was not removed from the room which was aggravating considering the fact that the empty beer bottles were removed from the room everyday (i guess he wanted to get the deposit from each bottle!!). We were never replenished with toilet paper - we had to ask him for some and then once he showed us where it was we'd go get it ourselves. the good part of this studio is that is is very spacious, it had a fridge which was great, and we had a little veranda where we could just sit and enjoy some quiet time. faliraki is filled with very young teens who drink alot. If you're not into crazy partying then don't expect to go to any clubs or local bars in the area - we didn't. However, you can go back to your room and open up a bottle of wine and enjoy the time together on your veranda! considering the fact that this room didn't cost us that much it was ok. Would i go back there again? i don't think so - mainly due to the fact that the area isn't our cup of tea and the restos in the area were mostly chinese and fast food type.
